BEN NOBLE TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE "TURNING" ON AUGUST 9th, 2019

People age, seasons change, and with it are noticeable moments of movement, both forward and backward. Some of the most immense changes in our lives and in our world happen beneath the surface, virtually unnoticeable to the eye. Khaled Housseini writes: "They're fractures along the earth's crust....sometimes, the shifting of rocks is deep, deep below, and it's powerful and scary down there, but that all we feel on the surface is a slight tremor. Only a slight tremor" (A Thousand Splendid Suns). "Turning" is an exploration of these deep currents. Beginning with a drum beat that sounds like it is coming from "deep beneath the earth", propelled by a hypnotic, repetitive bass line, the song is an uneasy trance, an effort by Noble to see the deeper changes happening all around him.  

Certainly a departure from his previous singer-songwriter feel, "Turning" is the second single from Noble's forthcoming record, with the first single "Night Wakes" released in March of 2019. The LP is on track to debut in the winter of 2020.
